Mandatory Use of Rupiah Currency by Bank Indonesia Seminar
BHA members attended a seminar at Ramada by Wyndham Bali Sunset Road Kuta, held by Bank Indonesia that highlighted two pivotal regulations - Regulation No. 7 of 2011 on Currencies and Bank Indonesia Regulation No 17/3/PBI/2015 on Mandatory Use of Rupiah Currency in Indonesia's Territory. These regulations emphasize that all transactions within the Republic of Indonesia, whether by residents or non-residents, in cash or non-cash, must be conducted in Indonesian Rupiah.
With the aim to bolster public understanding of the Rupiah's role and reinforce Indonesian sovereignty, the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Bali Province provided comprehensive information and detailed explanations on the "Dissemination & Mutual Commitment of Mandatory Use of Rupiah and Payment System Development" during this seminar.
This event was well attended and provided a fantastic opportunity for members to gain invaluable insights and stay up-to-date with currency regulations. The knowledge shared during the seminar will undoubtedly contribute to fostering a transparent, compliant, and thriving economic landscape in Bali and beyond.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Bank Indonesia Provinsi Bali for partnering with BHA in this endeavor.
